Meng Zhang

I like to think of the border as a kind of software. At first I was interested in the relationship between inside and outside spaces but my research forced my attention to the boundary of those spaces. I learnt a lot by studying the Berlin wall and the US-Mexico border fence, as the most famous examples that have big stories lying behind them.

Boundaries witness the development of the city. My goal is to make some changes to the boundary and to bring a new kind of feeling to people through design.
