Chris Vermaas

Born in Amsterdam in the late fifties (1958), Chris Vermaas trained at the local night academy to become graphic designer. After years of indepedent practice and several professorships in the US (RISD, YALE etc.) and Mexico (UDLA-P), he returned to the Netherlands where he founded "Office of CC" with partner Chin-Lien Chen. He works for industries, cultural organizations and private clients.

He teaches at the Antwerp Plantijn Society and at the university of Twente. At these institutions he discuses the many forms and facets of visual communication with his students. He has published several articles on this topic in national and international magazines.  Generally speaking Chris applauds improvements. He is the father of a daughter and a son.
