I am interested in taking portrait photograhs. I like to take pictures of people on any occassion, whether I know them or not. In my pictures I look for something that will give me the extra medial that I am searching for. I would like to create my own reality, which gives the viewer the opportunity to make a connection between the moment of the picture that he looks at and his thoughts about the model before and after the picture was taken. I am interested in this interaction that photography creates between people who are being looked at and people who do the looking.

In my work I would like to explore the definitions of 'the gaze' through the people that I take pictures of, in such a way that the result of my research will also include their own experience about 'the gaze'. With that I mean that I will try to show the creative interaction between the sitters and the camera, the sitters as viewers of their own pictures and in the end also between me and my models.
